is a freelance literary translator living in Leipzig, where she reads, writes, and edits books. She translates contemporary literature from Czech and Slovak into German, and organizes and moderates readings and other events. She is a member of the Verband deutschsprachiger Übersetzer:innen (VdÜ) and part of the hochroth publishing collective, where she edits the OstroVers series, among others, as well as the Leipzig writing collective ceoK. She currently also works as a freelance literary editor for the Leipzig city magazine Kreuzer. Her own texts were published by Trottoir Noir in 2021 (“Tage zählen”). www.martinalisa.de
