Dora Yuemin Cheng

trilingual playwright, works and lives in Berlin, Beijing and Shanghai. Born and raised in Nanjing, China, she completed a BA in Dramatic Writing at Shanghai Theatre Academy and an MA in Visual Language of Performance at Wimbledon College of Art. Her Chinese plays have been read or performed in several cities in China. In 2021, the Junges National Theater Mannheim’s production of Qingdao: a messy archive, in which she worked as a dramaturge, was nominated by nachtkritik.de as one of the most important plays of the year. Her multilingual play Epiphaine顿悟 was shortlisted for the Theatertreffen Stückemarkt 2022.
