André Hansen
born 1985 in Rostock, studied Comparative Literature and French in Mainz, Dijon and Bologna. He translates fiction and non-fiction texts by Mahir Guven, Nicolas Mathieu and Thomas Piketty, among others. In 2020 he was awarded the Straelen Translation Prize of the Kunststiftung NRW. He is an assessor on the board of the professional association VdÜ and, together with Heide Franck and Andreas Förster, has been leading the project Collective Intelligence since 2022, which deals with artificial intelligence and literary translation.
