Dagny Kurdwanowska

was born in 1978. She heads the literary department of the Institute of Urban Culture (Instytut Kultury Miejskiej) in Gdansk (Gdańsk). She also works as a journalist and author, and until recently as a librarian at the library in Sopot. She has contributed to many renowned Polish magazines, e.g. Polska/The Times, Onet, PANI and Przekrój. As an author, she most recently published Attentive, Tender and Courageous (Rebis, 2022). Most recently, she was the coordinator of the Found in Translation Festival, the European Poet of Freedom Festival and the Literatury dla Dzieci (Children’s Literature Festival) in Gdańsk. She loves listening and asking questions. Books are her passion, her work and her way of life.
