Günther Orth
studied Islamic Studies in Erlangen with an M.A. in Syrian short stories and a dissertation on the narrative literature of Yemen. He specialised in modern Arabic literature and its translation. Today he lives near Berlin as a translator and interpreter for Arabic. His most recent book publications include translations of Yassin al-Haj Saleh (Darstellung des Schrecklichen, Matthes & Seitz 2023) and Adania Shibli (Eine Nebensache, Berenberg 2022). www.targama.de
