Canon Francis Omondi
is a Kenyan cleric, scholar, writer, and community leader. He is a priest of the Anglican Church of Kenya, All Saints Cathedral Diocese, lecturer at St. Paul’s University Limuru, the South Africa Theological Seminary and a Research Tutor at Oxford Centre for Religion and Public Life. Omondi is the international director of The Sheepfold Ministries, an indigenous mission agency working in rural communities in Kenya, southern Tanzania and northern Mozambique. He is proficient in 20 languages, most of them being Kenyan languages. In 2004, he received World Vision’s highest honour, the Bob Pears Award, in recognition of exemplary mission leadership. In 2015, he took part in a United Nations General Assembly Side Meeting on reducing sectarian religious violence in Kenya and beyond.
