lives and works as an author, translator, and music dramaturg in Moabit, Berlin. Between 2000 and 2007, he studied in Brussels and Vienna, and in 2001 received the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation’s Rimbaud Prize. Literary texts have been published primarily with the Swiss publisher Urs Engeler, with whom Filips has coedited the roughbooks series of contemporary poetry since 2010. Theatrical works have appeared at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. Most recently: Heiße Fusionen, Beta-Album. Gedichte und Analysen zur poetischen Ökonomie (2018), Der Unsterblichkeitsclown (2020), Rosa Kollektiv (web series, 2021). Since 2006, Filips has worked as program and archive director for the Sing-Akademie zu Berlin.
