Dzekashu MacViban

is a publisher and curator of African literature and translations. He is the founder of Bakwa Books and author of Scions of the Malcontent (2011). Among other programmes, he curated You have a fullness you need to bring out at Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart, 2021. Since January 2023, he has been a literature curator at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, where he curated the first edition of the Middle Ground series, which invites literature festivals of the world, and where the PREE literary festival on Caribbean writing was first presented with seven Caribbean authors and PREE directors Isis Semaj-Hall and Annie Paul.
