was born in Prague, was a passionate resident of Hamburg until recently and is today an enthusiastic Berliner and has translated Czech literature into her non-native language German for more than 30 years. Her authors include, amongst others: Radka Denemarková, Jáchym Topol and Jaroslav Rudiš. She has curated and moderated literary readings for many years, reviewed new Czech works in her early career and has recently been very focused on the continuing education of translators and making their work visible. She was a jury member for the Übersetzerbarke program of the VdÜ from 2017 to 2021 and has been a board member of the WLB since 2019.
