Jelica Šumič Riha

is Professor of Philosophy at the Postgraduate School of Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts and Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Philosophy. She was visiting professor at the University of Essex, University Paris 8 and Universidad de Buenos Aires. She has published a number of philosophical works, including Politik der Wahrheit (with Alain Badiou, Jacques Rancière and Rado Riha, Turia + Kant, Vienna 1997) and A politica e a psicanalise: do nao-todo ao para todos, (Lumme editor, Sao Paolo, 2019). She is the editor of several essay collections and translator of Freud, Lacan, Badiou, Lyotard and Rancière. She edits the philosophy series Philosophica, Zalozba ZRC. A co-editor of the journal Filozofski vestnik, her work sits at the intersection of contemporary philosophy, philosophy, and political theory.
